President Muhammadu Buhari has received a comprehensive briefing on the aborted coup attempt to oust Guinea-Bissau President Umaru Embalo.
This was on the sidelines of the ongoing African Union Summit of Heads of State and Government in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guinea-Bissau, Suzi Barbosa, who gave graphic presentation of the attempt to overthrow the constitutional order in her country.
Barbosa said the coupists attempted to kill President Embalo, destroyed the presidential palace with bazookas,and killed eleven persons.
