About six hundred and forty-nine thousand three hundred capsules of Tramadol and eight hundred and nine thousand eight hundred and fifty Euros cash were among consignments intercepted in Lagos.
The consignments from Pakistan, Austria and Italy were intercepted at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja Lagos by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
Several quantities of Heroin and other illicit drugs were also blocked from being exported to the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada
A suspect, Nwadu Ekene Christian was arrested in connection with the seizure.
While commending the officers and men for the arrest and seizure, Chairman of NDLEA, retired Brigadier-General Buba Marwa, charged them to intensify the offensive action against all drug cartels.
