The Lagos state government has urged all parents, guardians community and religious leaders,to ensure that all eligible children are vaccinated during the polo immunization campaign in the state.
Permanent Secretary,Lagos State Primary Health Care Board ,Dr. Ibrahim Mustafa said during the first and second round of the exercise which holds from 9th of April to 10th of May, vaccination teams would visit all households, hospitals, schools, churches, mosques, recreational ground, estates, markets, shopping plazas and other places.
He said the objective of the exercise is to give two drops of Oral Polio Vaccine to the eligible children irrespective of their previous immunization status.
