UNICEF CHIEF TASKS STATES ON PREVENTION OF CHOLERA.

UNICEF Chief of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Jane Bevan, has called on all states of the Federation to strengthen their coordination towards reducing cholera cases.

Bevan, who said this in Abuja noted that it was crucial for states to prioritise coordination, as reports of continued cases was worrisome and needed urgent interventions.

The UNICEF Chief informed that, the UN agency has been supporting the Federal Ministry of Water Resources to coordinate cholera response, which has led to training for states that recorded outbreaks of cholera in 2021.
