Hundreds of people have been evacuated to safety after heavy rains once again hammered South Africa’s coastal province of KwaZulu-Natal, flooding roads and houses, damaging properties.
Rainfall persisted on Sunday in some parts of KwaZulu-Natal, and according to the South Africa Weather service, the alert level remained at the highest and most severe level of ten.
April’s floods killed four hundred and forty-eight, with eighty-eight still missing, left more than six thousand eight hundred homeless and damaged more than one point five-eight billion dollars of infrastructure.
