The Federal Government through the Nigerian High Commission in the United Kingdom has engaged a team of lawyers in the United Kingdom to defend the senator representing Enugu West Senatorial District, Ike Ekweremadu, and his wife, Beatrice.
They were arrested on the grounds of conspiracy and organ harvest last Thursday.
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, said a delegation from its Committee on Foreign Affairs would depart Nigeria for London on first July , 2022, to visit the embattled couple presently in detention.
He urged all federal government institutions to ensure justice prevails in the case.
