The State Government in collaboration with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation, NCF, is set to hold the Annual “Walk for Nature” to highlight the importance of nature conservation and improving the quality of life across the State.
In a statement, Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tunji Bello said the event, over the years, has continued to create awareness on the importance of Nature Conservation and Biodiversity.
Bello, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Office of Environmental Services, Doctor Omobolaji Gaji, stated that since 2008 the State Government had been enlightening Lagosians on the importance of environmental protection and conservation through the Walk.
The Commissioner stressed that the State Government was interested in conservation matters through partnership and collaboration with the Private Sector and Non-Governmental Organisations in compliance with Sustainable Development Goal seventeen.
