The Joint Admissions Matriculation Board has said it will digitise all its communications from January 1,2023.

Speaking on Sunday to journalists in Lagos, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, explained that this would ensure the full transition from a paper communication system to a paperless regime.

He noted that the digitisation process would handle all issues concerning admissions under its CAP system and other issues to be put on JAMB’s Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System.

Oloyede said, “This will reduce delay in the conduct of the Board’s critical operations, increase efficiency, track communication and archive records of communications.

“The Board’s Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System will be upgraded to also serve as a communication channel between the Board, Regulatory Agencies and Institutions.”

Oloyede added that for smooth operation of the paperless regime, the Board would meet with all tertiary institutions virtually on Monday, 14th November, 2022, saying the meeting would be held in two batches on the same day for Northern and Southern tertiary institutions.

He said, “Also in attendance will be the three regulatory bodies: the National Universities Commission; National Commission for Colleges of Education and the National Board for Technical Education.”

Oloyede stressed that in order to acquaint the stakeholders with the operation modalities of the digitisation process, the Board held a workshop with the leadership of the National Universities Commission, National Board for Technical Education, National Commission for Colleges of Education, Association of Vice Chancellors of Nigerian Universities, Committee of Vice Chancellors of Nigerian Universities, Committee of Vice Chancellors & Registrars of Private Universities of Nigerian, Committee of Heads of Polytechnics, Committee of Provosts of Colleges of Education at Transcorp Hilton on 22nd July, 2022.

Oloyede said, “This meeting is to formally roll out the paperless regime to acquaint the Heads of Institutions, Regulatory Agencies, Registrars and Admission Officers with its operational modalities.
