United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, says he has sent Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, a set of concrete proposals to revive the Black Sea grain deal.

Russia had quit the deal in July, complaining that its own food and fertilizer exports faced obstacles and that not enough Ukrainian grain was going to countries in need.

Guterres made it clear that the new set of proposals would be a stable on.

Russia had said if demands to improve its own exports of grain and fertilizer were met, it would consider resurrecting the Black Sea agreement.
