EFCC RELEASES 58 OAU STUDENTS ARRESTED FOR SUSPECTED INTERNET FRAUD

The Economic Financial Crimes Commission has released fifty-eight of the arrested students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The Commission, in a sting operation, had arrested sixty-nine students at Oduduwa Estate area of Ile-Ife, for suspected internet fraud.

Spokesman for the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, said many of the suspects duly profiled by the Command have been released.

Their release came after other students of the university stormed the EFCC office in Ibadan, decrying their colleagues’ arrest.
