IGP HOLDS EMERGENCY MEETING OVER RISING INSECURITY.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, has met with the Force Management Team and Tactical Squads in a bid to address the escalating insecurity in the country.

The meeting follows the recent abduction and killings in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT and similar incidents nationwide.

The IGP expressed deep concern over the unfortunate events and underscored the necessity for decisive action to combat such heinous crimes.

He ordered the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Operations, to coordinate the upscaled security strategies to decimate kidnappers and other criminally minded individuals in the FCT.
