Senegal President Macky Sall says his mandate will end on 2nd of April as president of the West African nation.
Sall, however, said it was unlikely the election of a new president would be completed before then.
The President’s announcement came after the country’s Constitutional Council, the highest election authority, ruled that a 10-month postponement of the vote was unlawful.
The election had initially been scheduled for 25th February.
