LAGOS READY TO IMPLEMENT WORLD BANK PROTOCOLS RELATING TO COVID-19 ACTION.

The Lagos State Government says it is ready to implement all the world bank protocols and agenda as it relates to the Covid -19 action recovery and economic stimulus programme,NG-CARES.

Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Samuel Egube said this in a keynote address at the opening session of the first implementation support mission on Nigeria Covid -19 action recovery and economic stimulus programming,NG-CARES.

He said the programme was a laudable initiative to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians, saying Nigeria was not out of the woods yet.

Commissioner for finance, Dr. Rabiu Olowo said all the implementing units across the ministries, departments and agencies have been briefed and ready to implement the programme

The world Bank has commended efforts by the State Government in implementing Covid-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus programme, NG-CARES.

At the first implementation support mission on Nigeria Covid-19 programme, the Task Team Leader of NG-CARES, World Bank, Professor Foluso Okunmadewa, appreciated the partnership with Lagos, noting that it always achieves results

Enumerating the essence of NG-CARES, he said the programme was performance-based and not another world bank project.
