The Federal Executive Council has approved one point zero six billion naira for the supply of eye-scanning lie detector and digital night vision goggles for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency,NDLEA.
Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, stated this while briefing State House correspondents on the outcome of the Council meeting, chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Malami said four hundred and ninety-eight million, eight hundred and fifty thousand naira of the amount was approved for the supply of the eye scanning detector, while the remaining balance of five hundred and seventy million, eight hundred and twenty-five thousand naira was earmarked for purchase of digital night vision goggles to check the activities of drug barons.
On his part, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo, told the correspondents that the Council approved three point four billion naira to accelerate the establishment of an economic zone in Lekki area of Lagos State.
