The Lagos State Government has organised a sensitisation programme on the implementation of the Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy for Heads, Administrators and Stakeholders of Schools under the Lagos Education District One.
The Executive Secretary, Office of Education Quality Assurance,Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, reiterated the need to put structures in place for the safety and overall well-being of children in schools.
Vivour-Adeniyi, stated this at the two-day sensitisation programme by the Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency in conjunction with the held at Alausa, Ikeja.
The representative of the Director-General, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Bimpe Savage, highlighted the types of abuse and the need for schools to take precautionary measures in order to ensure the safety of the children.
