President Muhammadu Buhari says more investments will be deployed for the provision of infrastructure and facilities for safe, secure, environment friendly and sustainable civil aviation in the country.
The President stated this when he received the Secretary General of International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO, Juan Salazar, at the State House, Abuja.
According to him, Nigeria will support the ideals and aspirations of ICAO and achievement of its strategic objectives, in collaboration with other Member States of the Organization.
President Buhari told the ICAO delegation that he approved the establishment of Aerospace University in Abuja to cater for research and development, as well as provide manpower for the industry.
He said, as part of its support, Nigeria, over time, seconded auditors to support various ICAO programmes in the areas of safety and security.
