The United States President, Joe Biden has paid his respect to those killed during the shooting at the Robb Elementary School.
The United State Department of Justice says it will investigate the police response to last week’s mass shooting at the school in Uvalde, Texas, which killed nineteen children and two teachers.
Its said the goal was to provide an independent account of law enforcement actions and responses and to identify and respond to active shooter events.
The shooting on May twenty-four has provoked new calls for gun control measures, in a country reeling from two vicious shootings in under ten days.
The US has now surpassed two-hundred mass shootings since the beginning of twenty twenty-two.
