GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU ADVOCATES PRIVATE SECTOR INVOLVEMENT IN REBUILDING OF POLICE BARRACKS.

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has advocated private sector involvement in the rebuilding and rehabilitation of police barracks and offices.

The Governor also noted that rebuilding, retraining and improved welfare of the Nigeria police will ensure effective policing.

He gave the advice while receiving the board of trustee of the Nigeria Police Trust fund.

Represented by the Deputy Governor, Doctor Obafemi Hamzat, the Governor said such partnership would also boost the revenue of the fund.

He noted that the state Government has continued to assist security operatives to make their job easier and ensure the safety of the citizens.

Chairman of the board, Sulaiman Abba, represented by a Commissioner of Police, Adepoju Ilori, said the board was on fact finding mission to the state, to access the facilities on ground and see how they could be improved.
