INEC PROVIDES SPECIAL CENTRES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES TO GET THEIR VOTERS CARD IN LAGOS

The Lagos State Independent National Electoral commission will on Monday and Tuesday next week visit the various special centres designated for Persons with disabilities to get their permanent voters card.

The Commission in partnership with the Lagos State Office of Disability Affairs, announced this as special equipment for the exercise have been deployed across the special centres in the five divisions of the state.

It appealed to Persons with disabilities to take advantage of the two-day window provided to go for data capturing and voters card collection.

The Commission Head of Desk Voter Registration and ICT, Muyiwa Yusuf said Lagos currently has six million, seven hundred and twenty-two thousand, three hundred and ninety-four Persons with disabilities registered.

In his remarks, General Manager of Lagos State Office of Disability Affairs, Dare Dairo, said the government engaged the Commission to provide for people with disabilities to ensure they perform their civic responsibilities during the forthcoming general elections.
