WHO advocates adequate funding for healthcare facilities in Nigeria

World Health Organization has disclosed that good health facilities is the bedrock of any given society as adequate funding must be provided to avail citizens access to good facilities.

Mr Joseph Kutzin Country Representative World Health Organization from Geneva on  health disclosed this in Abuja during an oversight visit to Garki hospital in Abuja. 

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, he said health is a  process that never stops with new technologies springing up daily, government need to put more funds into the health system and evaluation must be done to provide accountability on resources spent on health care system for the citizens.

Adamu Onu, the Chief  Medical Officer Garki hospital said the visit of the representative from the WHO to Garki hospital is apt  as  issues pertaining to  health care financing and social insurance  delivery were discussed as the hospital have been able to deliver good and  successful health care services for citizens using the National Health Insurance Agency.
