Ex-U.S. Marine, Paul Whelan, detained in Russia, has expressed dismay that more had not been done to secure his release.

This comes after a prisoner swap that freed U.S. basketball star Brittney Griner.

Report says Russia refused a deal to free Whelan opting for Griner in exchange for arms dealer Viktor Bout.

Although, Whelan’s family praised the deal and urged Biden to act fast, the ex-US. Marine on the phone with CNN said he was dissappointed with his case.
