The Coalition of United Political Parties has accused the Governor of Imo State Hope Uzodimma of being behind the attack on the Spokesperson of the Coalition Ikenga Ugochinyere on the 14th of January 2023.
While addressing journalists on Wednesday in Abuja Ugochinyere stated that from the information available to him and the pieces of evidence left by this attackers, the attack was undoubtedly sponsored by the Imo State Government.
The Spokesperson however, lamented that they were shot at and also bombed with high grade explosives while houses were destroyed with over 32 vehicles set ablaze
He stressed that several motorcycles belonging to the villagers were burnt amongst other properties valued at over Five Hundred and Fifty Million Naira only and also innocent people were killed in the process.
Ugochinyere also accused the Governor of being responsible for the killing of his Uncle Chief Daniel Ikeagwuonu and all others who died in the attack.
The Spokesperson noted that a gold coloured Toyota Highlander SUV belonging to one Mr Uzoma was Snatched from him in Owerri and also beating by people whose description was matching those that attacked his house
He urged everyone in Ideato not to be scared but unite with each other and be courageous.
