INEC ANNOUNCES PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RESULTS IN EKITI STATE.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced the result of the presidential election in Ekiti State.

The All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Tinubu, won in the state with two hundred and one thousand, four hundred and ninety-four votes from sixteen local government areas.

The People’s Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar came second with eighty-nine thousand, five hundred and fifty-four votes, followed by the Labour Party’s Peter Obi who polled eleven thousand, three hundred and ninety-seven votes.

Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party got two hundred and sixty four votes out of the three hundred and fourteen thousand, four hundred and seventy-two votes cast.

The chairman of INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, thereafter, announced that the collation of results will continue at 11 am on Monday.
