The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has expressed concern over the harassment of its two National Commissioners deployed to Adamawa State for the conduct of a supplementary Governorship election.

The Commission called on security agencies to provide them with the necessary security and ensure their safety.

INEC insisted that the two National Commissioners, the Returning Officer, and other staff of the Commission must be allowed to perform their duties without any hindrance.

It warned that it would not condone any act of lawlessness or violence targeted at its officials or the process.
