The Senate says Nigeria can generate about three billion Dollars from solid minerals.
Its Chairman, Finance Committee, Senator Sani Musa, in a statement said the informal sector, particularly the mining industry, was a hidden gem in Nigeria’s revenue potential.
He also stated the Senate Finance Committee would seriously look at the informal sector which constitutes about eighty percent of the Nigerian Economy.
Musa said the committee would also look into empowering the informal sector with the spotlight on mining.
