LAGOS GOVERNMENT TO INTRODUCE VACCINES AGAINST CERVICAL CANCER

The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board, LSPHCD says it will introduce the Human Papillomavirus vaccine to prevent cervical cancer in girls from ages Nine to Fourteen on September 25th.

The Director of Health Education and Health Promotion Services of LSPHCD, Clara Owojuyigbe, who revealed this at a media meeting, in Lagos, noted the development was to prevent the growing cases of cervical cancer in the country.

She urged parents to use the opportunity to ensure that their girl child between the mentioned ages is available for vaccination in order to prevent them from getting cervical cancer in the future.
