President Bola Tinubu has appointed the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Jigawa State, Dr. Musa Aliyu, as the new Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
He also appointed Clifford Okwudiri Oparaodu as the secretary of the commission.
The President spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, said the appointment is in exercise of the President’s powers conferred on him as established in Section 3(6) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.
The appointment, he stated, is in furtherance of the Renewed Hope mandate to reform key institutions and invigorate Nigeria’s war on corruption.
