Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has called on residents to respect and remember the Nigerian Armed forces in their prayers, considering the sacrifices they make to ensure the safety of lives and property.
Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Gboyega Soyannwo, made the call during this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day thanksgiving at the Chapel of Christ the Light in Alausa.
The Governor, appreciating those who were alive and incapacitated by injuries, promised that the state would continue to support them alongside the families of those who died on the war front.
In his sermon tagged: “Honouring Sacrifice,” the Guest Preacher, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Daniel Olukoya, applauded the security personnel who sacrificed their lives to protect Nigerians from external and internal aggressions.
The General Overseer, represented by Pastor Ladoja Abiodun, urged Nigerian leaders to serve the citizens to enjoy the benefits of good governance.
