LAGOS SEEKS PRIVATE SECTOR’S PARTNERSHIP TO MITIGATE CLIMATE CHANGE

The state government says it is committed to partner with private sector in mitigating the impact of climate change, encourage adaptation and develop sustainable bonds in September.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu stated this at the the Nineth Lagos International Climate Change Summit, themed :”Integrating Climate action in Lagos Development: Investment opportunities and trade-offs”.

Represented by his Deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, the governor said the state had continued to deal with Climate change issues, urging Lagosians to join hands to build the Lagos of their dream as well as a resilience future

Commissioner For Environment and Water Resources, Tunji Bello, said the summit was an affirmative action in the commitment of the State Government to mainstream climate action in the next phase of the developmental agenda of the State.
