The State Government says a total of fifty-three survivors in the accident involving a train and a staff bus have been discharged from different hospitals in the state.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who stated this on his twitter handle, expressed delight that the patients were discharged after receiving free and quality healthcare from different state medical facilities across Lagos.

He commended Lagosians, who responded to the call for blood donation, noting that they demonstrated true humanity with over two hundred and fifty-six units of blood donated leading to swift action that saved lives.

While the discharged returned to their families, the Governor urged residents to continue to keep the hospitalized patients in prayers.
