Vice President Kashim Shettima has met with the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery at the State House, Abuja.
In a chat with State House correspondents after the meeting on Wednesday, the British High Commissioner said the meeting was fruitful.
The meeting, according to him, focused on how to ramp up bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in the area of boosting economic engagements.
Montgomery said British Ministers were “responding positively” to the policies of the President Bola Tinubu administration, including the removal of fuel subsidy and unification of foreign exchange rates.
He also disclosed that he discussed with Vice-President Shettima on measures to cushion the effect of the President’s first policies like subsidy removal.
