POLICE SERVICE COMMISSION ORDERS COMPULSORY RETIREMENT OF SOME DEPUTY INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE.

The Police Service Commission has ordered four Deputy Inspectors General of Police, DIGs to proceed on compulsory retirement.

The affected DIGs are Dan-Mallam Mohammed, Moses Ambakina Jitiboh, Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa and Adeleke Adeyinka Bode.

In a statement by its spokesman Ikechukwu Ani, the Commission said the directive was in exercise of its statutory powers and in line with the 1999 Constitution.

It approved the appointment of four Assistant Inspectors General of Police, AIGs, to the rank of DIGs.

The new DIGs, subject to ratification of the commission’s board, would replace the retired DIGs.
