President Bola Tinubu says the nine-month transition programme instituted by General Abdulsalami Abubakar is enough for the Nigér military junta to return the country to civilian rule.
According to the President, the programme which was instituted in 1998 proved very successful, leading the country into a new era of governance.
He noted that all diplomatic options would be exhausted with the military junta in Niger Republic before any last resort to military intervention comes into the picture.
The President said consequence of the spate of coup would be suffered by all if not prevented.
President Tinubu said this when he received the Nigeria Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, led by the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar the third, at the State House.
