Israel’s Government and Hamas have agreed to a four-day pause in fighting to allow the release of fifty hostages held in Gaza, in exchange for one hundred and fifty Palestinians imprisoned in Israel.

The agreement will allow the entry of humanitarian aid into the besieged enclave.

It will also prevent Israel from attacking or arresting anyone in Gaza, during the pause in fighting
