NDLEA INTERCEPTS LARGE CONSIGNMENT OF DRUGS AT THE AIRPORT

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, on Sunday said its operatives have intercepted a large consignment of Loud, a synthetic strong strain of cannabis, concealed in giant loudspeakers tucked in a consolidated cargo imported from New York, the United States.

Spokesman of the agency, Femi Babafemi said, three suspects including a freight agent, Akeem Afeez, logistics company manager, Babalola Gboyega and the receiver of the consignment, Taiwo Anuoluwapo were arrested in follow-up operations between Thursday and Friday.

He added that Afeez was arrested at the airport and Gboyega was at his office on Allen Avenue Ikeja while Taiwo was traced to his residence at Lekki.
