MEDICAL PRACTITIONER ADVISES NIGERIANS ON REGULAR CHECK UP

Nigerians have been advised to live a healthy lifestyle, and frequently check their health status to prevent avoidable death.

Convener, Our Friend Health Foundation, Doctor Isa Abdul Mujeeb, gave the advice at the 19th edition of Justice Muri-Okunola Memorial Ramadan Lecture, put together by the Management and staff of Radio Lagos and Lagos Television.

Abdul Mujeeb, who spoke on “The Silent Killers: Prevention and Management”, advised Muslims to take care of their health, saying regular exercise, reduced the risk of developing chronic and non-communicable diseases, such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and cancer.

Also, Founder, Al-Ghiyyath Islamic Foundation, Sayyidah Kalejaiye, who spoke on Pains and Gains of Polygamy, said marriage was a sacred institution in Islam with very important objectives.

Kalejaiye said, in certain situations, a man was allowed to marry more than one wife with the condition that he treated his wives with justice, equality and fairness.
