IMO GOVERNMENT BLAMES LP, PDP ELECTORAL LOSS ON INTERNAL ISSUES

The Imo State Government has hit out on the Labour Party and Peoples Democratic Party, attributing their defeat to internal disputes.

The State Commissioner for Information, Declan Emelumba, made this known on a Channels Television programme, saying the opposition parties were unprepared for the election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission declared the All Progressives Congress candidate, Hope Uzodimma as the winner of the poll with five hundred and forty thousand, three hundred and eight votes.

He defeated his closest competitors, PDP’s Samuel Anyanwu, who scored seventy-one thousand, five hundred and three votes and LP’s Athan Achonu who got sixty-four thousand, and eighty one.
